Dr John LeBlanc,

Dr John LeBlanc, a pediatrician and epidemiologist at the
IWK Health Centre and Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Psychiatry and Community Health and Epidemiology at Dalhousie University. Early in his pediatric career, he worked for two years in a tertiary hospital in Kenya and a rural health centre in Uganda. He continues to be involved in projects in Tanzania and the Gambia. His research focuses on social and emotional skills and resilience in children and in that capacity he advises Nova Scotia school
boards and the Nova Scotia Department of Education. He also developed the clinical trials graduate course taught at Dalhousie University’s Community Health and Epidemiology Master’s degree program.
